Waterfront Walkway - extending the South West Coast Path along Plymouth’s maritime environment.

The 13 kilometre walkway will be complete by the Millennium. It starts at the Cremyll Ferry and ends on Jenny Cliff. In the middle it passes sites that have played a significant role in world history, military, social and economic. The Pilgrim’s Gate, The Hoe, The Sound, Mount Batten.

It passes through a living city, a place where real people live.

The walk is a tourist attraction and the way markers along the walk can be seen as pointers. They are the milestones and markers pointing in the direction of the past, the present and the future of Plymouth. They enhance and mark the rhythms of the walk and provide links along a linear path through space and time.
